FUTURE LAWYER | SOCIAL JUSTICE ADVOCATE | YOUTH VOICE IN LAW & POLITICS
Signed in as:
filler@godaddy.com
I am a highly motivated and ambitious individual, with a strong sense of right and wrong and a deep belief in justice that goes beyond words. My commitment to pursuing a career in law has been shaped by real-life advocacy, supporting a GCSE student unfairly moved offsite and helping a Year 9 pupil challenge a permanent exclusion. These experiences have shown me the real-world impact of standing up for others. Cases like Child Q, movements such as Black Lives Matter and Gina Martin's 'Upskirting' victory, have further fuelled my desire to use law not just as a career but as a means to speak up, stand up and create meaningful change. I am actively seeking a solicitor apprenticeship that will allow me to gain hands-on legal experience while contributing to a forward-thinking legal practice. With a strong foundation in communication, research and problem-solving, I am committed to continuous professional development and delivering excellence in everything I do. To this end, I have recently undertaken online law courses with the Open University and City Century.

Since 2020, beginning during lockdown to support families, I have been tutoring students from KS2 level. I expanded to include GCSE Religious Studies in 2022 and GCSE English in 2024, supporting both academic progress and exam preparation.
In July 2024, I completed an internship with my local MP, Sir Gavin Williamson, at his constituency office, gaining insight into casework, community engagement and local politics.
Most recently, in June 2025, I undertook a week-long placement at the House of Commons, where I observed parliamentary processes, attended committee sessions and contributed to research, reports and correspondence.
Elected Deputy Head Girl just seven months after joining the school, I’ve been honoured to play a key role in what the Head of Sixth Form described as the most dynamic Sixth Form leadership team the school has seen. Appointed as Communications Lead, I’ve coordinated messaging across the council, led the organisation of a last-minute End of Year 12 Social, and spearheaded fundraising efforts for Sixth Form resources. I’ve also contributed to shaping a more inclusive Sixth Form dress code, working collaboratively with the wider council to ensure all student voices were represented in discussions with the Head and Senior Leadership Team.
As the only Year 12 member of the Student Council selected to support the Year 13s, I helped organise the Older People in the Community Christmas Quiz, strengthening intergenerational links. I was also honoured to be chosen by the Headteacher to represent the school at the Remembrance Day wreath-laying ceremony and to sit on the interview panel for our incoming Headteacher. I was able to ask a question that I had prepared beforehand, which contributed student voice to a key decision.
I raise collections for my local foodbank, homeless charity and Women's Refuge. I have successfully campaigned for pothole repairs and I have set up and now run, a community newsletter.

Shortlisted for the next round of the BBC 500 Words competition (2017), I’ve gone on to win several school and community writing awards, including an Interschool Creative Writing Competition (2019), and both Halloween and Christmas Story Competitions (2024). I also enjoy performance poetry, having won the overall recitation prize in 2019 for my rendition of Jabberwocky, and placing runner-up in 2020 for Night of the Scorpion by Nissim Ezekiel.
Between 2015 and 2019, I was voted Class Representative four times during primary school, reflecting the trust my peers placed in me to listen, lead, and speak up on behalf of others from an early age.
I love great food and being creative in the kitchen, from experimenting with international cuisine to perfecting weekend baking projects. When I'm not cooking, you'll find me cycling, getting lost in a good book, or challenging friends to strategic board and card games. I also enjoy the focus of completing jigsaw puzzles, particularly relishing that final click.
